Installation and
Running
I get a
message "Unable to open sectors file".
Always run the Germany FIR by starting
GermanyRadar.exe, which you find in the Germany Radar folder of your
London Control installation. The "Germany FIR" appears in the London
Control dialog because of our decision to offer atc.ini as plain text.
However the sectors file will remain coded as part of the copy
protection and therefore the error message is generated. Only
GermanyRadar.exe is able to transfer the correct sector data to London
Control.
Can I operate Germany Radar with
Windows Vista ?
London Control and Germany Radar do not
officially support Windows Vista, however customers informed us, that
it is possible to successfully install and run Germany Radar on Vista.
You can do this by disabling the User Account Control (UAC) or by
installing and running Germany Radar as an administrator. (right-click
"Start as administrator". For disabling the UAC see the entry from
24th March 2007 on the
London Control News Page.
I
can not enter my activation key.
What shall I do ?
There has been a problem with the code of Germany Radar. Go to the
Download-Area and update your simulator with the latest patches of
Germany Radar.

I did enter my activation key, but
the system does not accept it.
Before you install and start Germany
Radar, you need to make sure, that London Control is properly
installed and at least run once. You need to have the London Control
Serial number inserted (done with its first start) before you are able
to install Germany Radar. If you have a shortened Activation Code in
your Activation Dialog you need to abort the Activation and install
London Control first. (A valid Activation Code does contain 40 characters)
The system seems to run very slowly,
what can I do to improve performance?
There are a number of options that can be set-up in the User
Preferences to reduce the processing requirement of the system. These
include: switching off MTCA and STCA, setting the Scan Segments to a
low number (one, if necessary), switching off vector lines and halos,
and not using radio communication. Also, do not have other large
applications running at the same time as London Control.
The system reacts slowly to mouse
inputs ('til AIRAC 02/2008)
There has been a problem with the transfer of flights between KPT*/ALP*-
and WWS*-sectors. Go to the
Download-Area and update your data.
